Last Psalm Ministries and Churches from Birmingham and surrounding areas will present a Youth Arts Summit on June 13, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church,Pratt City.

 

Research has shown that engaging our youth in activities that include arts brings about positive results.

 

The Youth Arts Summit will be presented in Two Phases. The Afternoon Session

(4-5:30pm) will consist of a panel of creative Artist who will encourage the young attendees to embrace their creativity. At the end of the session, each attendee will be presented with a certificate acknowledging the gift they identify.

 

The evening will climax with the 6:45pm national debut of the urban socio drama, “Little Girl with No Name”. This powerful play takes us into the lives of two high school female friends. The girls are from different sides of the tracks and both face individual challenges. The play addresses many issues that our youth of today are facing.They include:bullying,drugs,sex,self esteem,respect for authority,goal setting and racism.

 

Also during the evening, fifty talented youth will be saluted for excelling in the arts.
